At Eden Church our High School Age group is known as Gen-Z@EUCC. During the School year, we meet monthly for Re-Groups. Location and details are distributed via the Church Center group. Youth, make sure you request to join our Church Center Group. Parents, make sure you Register your teen for Re-Group, and then request to join our Parents of Gen-Z Group to stay informed of all youth activities. Important event info as well as form submissions takes place via your Church Center App.

Throughout the year we engage in many forms of connecting and living out our faith, some include:

  • Having periodical Z-Discussions during worship time.

  • Holding pop-up Genius bar sessions of Eden ACTS (Ambassadors of Church Tech)

  • Participating in Worship and producing the annual Christmas Pageant

  • Using Go-Pro and Phone/Gimble combo and video editing software to make awesome videos for outreach

  • Goofing off at Re-Group! Claiming the new best title of ¡Basta!

  • Bowling, mini-golfing, and other fun outings, as well as Church Camp

Doing Justice & Walking Humbly

We also have missional/service opportunities:

  • Volunteering at Alameda County Community Food Bank, the Oakland Zoo, and Winter Shelters

  • As part of our Advent Conspiracy project, Eden Church Youth raised $1,600 for California Wildfire relief

  • The Youth manage a Kiva micro-finance account, empowering entrepreneurs throughout the globe

  • Blue Theology Retreats (upcoming is Spring 2020!)

Confirmation

Confirmation is a nine-month hands-on faith formation program for teens. Teens meet semi-monthly with the pastor and youth advisors to learn about and participate in all aspects of church life before deciding whether to become members of Eden church. In the spring, teens attend a popular retreat with other UCC confirmation classes.  Our next Confirmation program will be during 2020-2021. Contact Pastor Marvin for more information.
